We depart Koh Chang, 2nd of June 2018
You need to arrive before 13:00 but the Skipper can make adjustments in the actual time we leave the dock to facilitate individual itineraries.

We generally arrive around 15:00 on the last day but again there is some flexibility in the actual arrival time and the Skipper can generally make changes to facilitate the Crew’s travel arrangements.
What yachts are we going on
Participants will be allocated to a yacht by the Flotilla Skipper, we will do our best to accommodate requests however we distribute Crew to optimize the Crew balance, taking into account each participants experience etc.

- Lagoon 400 catamaran – 4 double cabins
- Island Spirit 41 catamaran – 4 double cabins.
What’s the cost.
Our Mile-builders always generate a lot of interested but to actually get people tied down and committed is a difficult thing, the following structure of fees is designed to streamline that task a bit.
To guarantee your spot on a yacht we require a payment of 8000 baht, this covers the cost of the food and beverage on board and is payable by TT, credit card, Paypal, cash at our office or any other way you can think of.
This offer closes once we have met the minimum crew requirement for each yacht (generally 3 people). Once that quota is met the cost to join a yacht increases to 12,000 baht. Note that joining a Crew at this later stage does not diminish your role as Crew, we do not take passengers, you will still be required to fulfill your role as a participating crew member.

Skippers of previous deliveries are free
Salty Sea-dogs that have Skippered our yachts on these deliveries before and are willing to Skipper one of these deliveries again are exempt from the above mentioned fees (assuming you didn’t break anything), but please let us know your interested ASAP.
Can I book the whole Yacht if I have Crew
Yes, but the Skipper would need to be approved by Gulf Charters Thailand and the regular Charter Contract would apply along with the regular Charter Security Deposit. The Cost is 40,000 baht for the boat and you would need to do your own provisioning. Departures and return times are somewhat flexible.
Can my girlfriend come or can I share a cabin with a friend:
Yes, but only if they have sailing experience acceptable to the Skipper and Gulf Charters. In the case of a twin share situation the additional person will pay to cover the cost of F&B as mentioned above.
The yacht, fuel and provisions provided for meals onboard, typically one dinner, light breakfasts, lunches, snacks and beverages (no Alcohol). Once you reach the Samui Island Group dinners will be ashore and at your own expense.
What’s not included:
Everything else. IE:
- Transport to and from the yacht
- Any onshore costs, accommodation and the like.
- Any cost associated with delays
What’s it like, what should I expect? (Crew):
A delivery is unlike cruising or racing, the yacht needs to depart and arrive to schedule. In this case we have allowed sufficient time for some overnight stops and a bit of cruising, the exact passage plan will be prepared by the Skipper and approved by Gulf Charters. Given the time constrains it’s not always possible to sail all the time, generally there is some motor sailing. It is also critical that we do not break the yachts during the delivery as they will be required to go out on charter very soon after their arrival at their destination, so you can, and we do, expect the Skipper to sail conservatively.
The Skipper will divide the crew in to watches, each group will be expected to stand their watch on a rotation basis, 2-4 hours on and some time off. It is common and sometimes necessary to sail for periods of 24 hours or more without stopping, the rotation continues throughout.
You should also expect to assist with provisioning and with some of the preparation work and boat checks before departing.
And if I’m the Skipper:
Above and beyond onboard responsibilities you’ll be expected to take on communications with the designated crew a few days before departure. This is primarily to put you in control of departure times, provisioning etc.
What am I expected to have:
Crewing experience commensurate to your position on board.
Wet weather gear, a jacket will do.
When should I get there:
A few hours before the agreed departure. Note, this may change depending specific arrangements made by the Skipper.
Are the destination times guaranteed:
No, but it’s pretty important to us that the yacht arrives as scheduled.
What about cancellation:
- If you pull out you lose your money.
- If we cancel, you get your money back.
