Charter Yacht Fleet

Yacht management and technical support

Island Spirit Group operates a fleet of approximately 40 Charter yachts located in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf Of Thailand. The primary business is Bareboat Charter, where the suitably qualified client can rent a yacht for a week or more and sail off in to the sunset with their family or friends, no need for an employed Skipper.

At each yacht charter base Island Spirit employs a team of people qualified to manage and maintain the fleet from general cleaning, engine maintenance, sail repair, right through to stepping masts and tensioning rigging.

The yachts we use in our Sailing School are drawn from our charter fleet and are supported by that same team of staff. So you can be sure that when you turn up for your sailing course the yacht you’ll be sailing on will be clean, tidy and well maintained and if there is a problem, we have a team of staff that can sort the problem out quickly or provide and alternate yacht.

As an Island Spirit Sailing School Alumni you enjoy a 10% discount off our listed yacht charter rates so check out the cruising destinations below and start planning that first voyage!

The Gulf of Thailand

Koh Chang – October through May

Located in the Southeast of Thailand, bordering Cambodia the Koh Chang Archipelago, offers yacht charter clients the chance to sail in and around a largely undeveloped part of Thailand that has somehow managed to stay off the radar of mainstream tourism.

This is not to understate the beauty of the area, nor the quality of the resort infrastructure. We think the balance of large’ish, high-end resorts and small beach bungalows is just about perfect; you can arrange a five-star meal taking in a breathtaking sunset tonight and chill at a tiny beach bar tomorrow… all at amazingly affordable prices.

Koh Samui – June through August

While the wet-season replenishes the tropical forests in Koh Chang, Island Spirit relocate the Koh Chang fleet to Koh Samui which, due to its location enjoys its own little micro-climate while the rest of Thailand battles the Southeast Monsoon.

While Koh Samui is well known for its luxury spa resorts, the yacht charter industry is just beginning to acknowledge the richness of the cruising grounds that surround it. From our Samui base, charter Clients access the limestone pinnacles and awe-inspiring vistas of the Ang Thong Marine Park, snorkel & scuba-dive at some of Thailand best dives-site in and around Koh Tao and laze the days away at some of Thailands best beaches at Koh Phangan.
